RECOGNISING LOCAL LANGUAGE FOR EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AT COMMUNITY LEVEL
CEJ recognises that local language communication is vital for effective understanding. To effectively communicate to people, it’s not advisable to speak a language they do not understand or share Papers/Documents/fliers/brocures e.g. English, especially if their understanding is limited. We must speak to them in the language their heart speaks and share simplified translated documents.
It is against this background, that CEJ has established a Translation Department with Skilled and Qualified Translators that will offer a service to any institution e.g. Civil Society Organisations etc. The department will be able to translate 7 languages namely; Chibemba, Chichewa, Luvale, Chitonga, Kikaonde, Silozi and Lunda.
