Grandma Nursery and Primary School

On 10th June 2025, the Little Eco Actionists: Small Hands, Big Change! campaign made a vibrant stop at Grandma Nursery and Primary School, facilitated by the Centre for Environment Justice’s Youth and Children Program Coordinator, Ms. Dalitso Mvula. The school dedicated the entire day to environmental awareness, turning classrooms into spaces of creativity, learning, and inspiration for pupils from Grade 1 to 7.
Children enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities, including drawing competitions, storytelling sessions, songs, drama, and group discussions, all centered-on climate change, conservation, and sustainable living. Their creativity and passion shone through as they expressed their knowledge and proposed solutions to the environmental challenges affecting their communities.
The event not only deepened the children’s understanding of climate issues but also empowered them to see themselves as key players in building a greener, more just future.
