Our Environment, Our Responsibility

Chiriwe Primary School

On 30th May 2025, the Centre for Environment Justice brought the Little Eco Actionists: Small Hands, Big Change! campaign to life at Chiriwe Primary School, located in the rural heart of Luwangwa District, a community already facing the harsh realities of climate change. Through heartfelt discussions and creative expression, children courageously shared how the climate crisis is affecting their lives, with some revealing they have had to miss school to help their families search for food.

Their voices serve as a powerful reminder that climate change is not a distant threat, but a present and pressing challenge, particularly for vulnerable communities. This campaign not only raised awareness but also gave the children a platform to be seen and heard as young environmental advocates.
